Know the liberals

It’s amazing how a simple idea, belief or code of ethics can change your perception and priorities, and life in a whole.

Believing in the birthright to do anything, is believing in freedom.

But not harm others. That's pacifism.

That belief of birthright to freedom means right to question everything, including the powers hold by the authority and government. Challenging those power would be anarchism.

But one needs to operate on logic.

Its just being logical to feel the importance of law, and therefore support governance.

Its logic that makes fallacies visible. The fallacies in religion compels atheism.

And its pure logic, and belief in freedom, that dictates that government does not, and should not possess the authority to prevent one adult from committing actions that would hurt no one else. That means supporting LGBT community, Drugs use, right to self-harm, suicide and euthanasia.

Reasoning and logic makes one empathetic. Empathy results to humanism. Animal rights, feminism, love for democracy are the aftermath. So is thirst for justice, which might not always be compulsorily as defined by the law.

But the reasoning also results to realism. It means to accept the world as is now and volunteer for gradual pacifistic development rather than violent revolution. And therefore the idea of pure communism would't make sense.  Nor the idea of monopoly, but the belief in existence of a balanced market system and economics.

Acceptance is to respect the idea of others and right to not think about the undesirables, as long as it’s not negatively affecting anyone. Therefore the respect to idea of theism and agnosticism.

And it’s such realizations and realism that awakens and makes one understand the self-interest and emotions; and the possibilities of negativism like crime, treason, betrayal, violence, racism and more.

Therefore we seek effective governance, and bureaucratic excellence that would privilege people by not letting such negativism in the society, but allowing the birthrights, the freedom and liberty. Guess that's my idea of liberalism!

Acceptance: Hatred and therefore

An interesting theory stuck in my mind about hatred, disrespect and acceptance. Analyzing the disrespect and hatred that people of society have for the so called lower class people and professions, and certain lifestyles, it turns out that it has its reason.

That immense feeling of dislike doesn’t arrive just from name, but by observation and interaction. People tend to hate people when they have a contrasting beliefs, or lifestyle; when one has to compromise. When other people don’t sync with their environment.

For most complain them to be dirty, or too foolish, or that they don’t have clean habits, or they don’t know how to behave, or their mentality is cheap.  They simply don’t hate them, but they define their behaviors. When certain annoying behaviors of individuals with similar characteristics compile and become generalized, the stereotype is created, that people hate.

If you ask a person who hates those, you will know that, each one of them have had history of some kind of multiple interactions with individuals which they generalize. Minorities, prostitutes, poor, lower castes, LGBT, drug addicts, labors, post-prisoners are the ones struggling in the society. They certainly shouldn’t be hated, but hatred is a feeling and cannot be enforced.

I believe they couldn’t be hated if they knew how not be hated. If all of them were knowledgeable and wise, and had capabilities to make people hear them and explain their story. If all acted disciplined. If they were all patient and reasonable. If they all stayed clean and had healthy habits, if they all had a better quality of life. Who could have hated them then? Society would have gladly accepted them. Or it wouldn’t even matter to them then, for they could sustain on their own.

Obviously knowledge is vital. My main point is that if insight could be given to them that healthy habits, discipline and logical reasoning, activeness and leadership, and participation always works for their favor, and rudeness and stubbornness or passiveness is not going to work for them, if they knew how not to be hated, their fights for rights and acceptance would have an extra boost. They should rise before they could rise. For we all have seen how prostitutes and pornography stars turning into authors, or LGBT community involving into acting and glamour have helped uplift their society.

World Unity for global fluidity

“Imagine there’s no country. It isn't hard to do.” Beatles

I dream of a time when world is a one. When every race are found in every country and every country are filled with natives of other countries, the government would be similar nature, and such the law and governance. And that is when, the borders become superfluous, nationalists wouldn't exist, and nation simply would become the thing of paper.  Where one would have freedom to choose their own country, their favorite constitution to live in. Common world, common language, common dreams. The world where no longer one country fights other, but is instead dedicated to prolonged development and prosperity of the mankind. And animals as well.

The life would be heavenly. That would thrust globalization, development, world unity, peace and harmony. The paradox is, that globalization, development, world unity, peace and harmony would already be required for that.

For that dream to come true, a lot needs to be done. Economic, social and political reforms are to be made. Everybody needs to be aware and have mutual understandings. Balanced economy and similar ideology is must for that. European Union on that manner has been exemplary. And it is absolutely possible, that such coalitions be made throughout the world.

For me, I believe world unity is imminent and is just a matter of time. And all I am, is catalytic about it, for the sun is dying, and we need to find the way to survive it.

Culture's opposing feminism

The society I live in, is male dominated. And well, there are very few places in the world that is not male dominated. The different statistics show that most types of organizations such as political, economic, social and commercial organizations are still dominated by men.

While we are talking about both men and women making equal contributions, the distribution is so uneven. Why is it so?

Well, one prime problem is the predominant male dominated culture. The concept that its women’s duty and that women should look after the household. From daily life to festivals and special occasions, male dominated culture is abundant. The culture still dominates the society, at least in the east. It’s deep rooted in philosophy and is more difficult problem than it looks. Even women themselves tend to believe it, as they were taught to believe so, since their childhood.

It’s a simple logic. Unless the hours dedicated by male in household equals the hours dedicated by female, how can the performance of female outside equal to that of men? Thus the nature of upbringing needs to change. The household works should not be burdened solely over women. Women should be taught that household is not their sole responsibility.

Gender equality is not possible without balancing household deals. Gender equality in household brings gender equality outside household. Therefore household dedication of son should be equal to that of daughters, and husband should equal to that of wife.

Things need to change and probably they will. What worries me is, not the past, but the inheritance of similar culture from the past, at present. The statistics will require more generations to balance, but something needs to change now, in this current generation. I can see many changing, but too many adapting to the similar faulty culture. That worries me.

Soft corner for feminism

I believe that society has been male dominated. Norms and cultures, around the globe, favors male in some manner.
Male domination is still very much existent.

And maybe, because the people I love most in the world are mostly women, I can't help but admit that I have a soft corner for feminism.

Real Men are Feminist!

Where are your ethics?

Ethics.
It’s a trait of stereotyped good men.
It must be something from the childhood. Like good manners and morality put inside right at the age of innocence. Preference to justice above self-interest, is what makes one ethical.
Ethics is compulsory. It’s humane. It’s the ethical thing to do. Everyone should possess this trait. But the tragedy is, what should be, is not.  I believe being unethical is deep-rooted into one’s childhood.  It’s either incomplete education or the generation of situations to be compulsively self-interested that makes people unethical. It’s possibly a habit developed as outcome of situations like living in poverty, living dissatisfied, being disrespected, being hated or being very different, where selfishness is compulsively acquired.
Ethics and moral studies is schooling’s must. It’s those people without this education, that’s making world a difficult place to live in.

Ethics is a moral choice. It’s not a reward but a luxury that you can boast of. So it’s the first thing you would like to throw in the testing situations. Everyone’s not rich enough to afford the luxury of carrying ethics with oneself. So expect not from everyone to be ethical. Especially not from the people in compromising situations. Cheap opportunists are more abundant. Be aware.

Changing the perception of identity

Something as dramatic as our identity, has now become a matter of our choice. We don't inherit the identity, we got to invent it, as often as we like. You decide everyday what kind of person you want to be.
-          Barry Schwartz on TED while speaking on a different topic.

Identity was inherited back then. Religion, culture, tradition, profession, caste, surname, and even name and political belief was inherited. And that would be his identity.
But now, things are different. We have the freedom to be who we want to be. And if we don’t have, we should have that.
I am talking about rights to create our own identity breaking the barrier of inheritance. A taste to little more freedom. Freedom to choose religion or not believe religion. It’s about liberty to follow cultures and traditions, from all around the world, and modify even, as one individual wants for himself, and celebrate what he feels must be celebrated; being able to have his own identity, and not shadowed by the past due to inheritance. Choose you own profession, choose your own name, and choose your own surname right when you reach the age of adulthood. Or turn 18, from my PoV. And even political belief should be the result of your critical thinking and not inheritance.
And if only had the world have open visas, we could actually get to choose our own nation. There would be no such thing as my country, but free countries. Choose your own constitution, own nation. A nation you would be truly proud of.

But this perception of identity is evil eyed, by the nationalists, and the conservers of tradition and culture. What they don’t understand is that freedom is essential to discover the true self and become self-satisfied. And freedom should have no barrier, not from present boundaries, and not the strings from past. Hail freedom!!

Communism sucks!

Communism has a fallacy!
The reason I am atheist is the same reason I don’t believe in communism.
I am highly cynical about living by the authority of a powerful entity with boundless powers. Even the very thought scares me.
The basic policy of communism is to have no ownership, and everybody is equal and share equal goods. But then, what about the government? Will it not become a group of people with excessive power?
The motive of communism is pure, but how can people actually believe that communism can exist. People think of a world so equal and beautiful. But what about the possibility of existence of communism? Everyone cannot be equal since some needs to be in the government. And that bunch is immensely powerful.
It’s not the motive but the practicality of the theory questioning its existence; that worries me. I don’t hate communism; I simply don’t believe in it, and would love to retain my freedom to myself on such case of uncertainty.
And also it’s must that equality not be enforced upon by distribution of equal goods but equal opportunities, since hard work and talent cannot be equalized with the ignorant and lazy.

Like a god it is, divine and good motived but the existence questionable, in my opinion, impossible, impractical and illogical.
